Exactly! Couldn't have said it better myself cerote! T-Mobile iPhone users cannot use T-Mobile's 3G already so it shouldn't be too much of a problem with every1 else if this works!

You can cut your own SIM without a gadget!
The adapter would come in handy though.

I'm not guna lie, that SIM cutter looks pretty sweet! I think I'm guna consider buying that to cut down my T-Mobile SIM! If I can buy that tool, all I need is $600 bucks for an iPhone 4 & I'm good!

@capttanhowdy, don't worry about it. I gurentee there will be an unlock! If AT&T expects to charge us on how much data we use, they have to be out of thier minds! If they think by using a different type of SIM card is going to prevent an unlock, they're wrong about that! Like I said it worked in the iPad so there's no reason for it not to work in the iPhone 4! So that leaves it up to the dev team, Geohot, musclenerd, and a bunch of other hackers who want to take a crack at it, to find a firmware unlock for it! They have found out how before, and they can find out how again!

When it's ready - how can it be released sooner?

They're working on it buddy, they just dont want to release a half-assed crack that might brick your phone or cause more problems. Probably doing final testing for stability as we speak....

Or they're quitting entirely because they're sick of people asking lol

iPhone 4 will not work on T-Mobile. They switched to Micro Sim which T-Mobile doesn't offer or even have, so your SIM card will not work nor fit in the iPhone 4. Also, the system it self is a different wireless system that only AT&T offers, it's not compatible (Hardware Wise) to work with T-Mobile, which makes a unlock pretty much impossible considering the hardware issues and more importantly the fact that a T-Mobile SIM card won't fit into the device.
All u have to do is cut the sim card down to size. It's been done.
