You have no clue whatsoever why you jail break. There are free apps in the app store. Just use that.

If you don't want to pay a developer for his hard work and time when he/she develops a great product, then write apps yourself.
Well I ended up buying it when it was $4.99 and I am glad I did. It works seamlessly and I am on a Jailbroken 3G running iOS4. Think it's probably worth $10 after all. He should do a trial version.

So if the hacked app costs $10 how much do you think apple is gonna charge for it when they release it soon?

Could you be more specific as to the nature of the problem? I would try to reinstall iTunes and getwifi sync.

So, I'm thinking of buying it.... can somebody help me with two questions?
    1. Does it work with iTunes 9.2 on PC (Winodws 7 x64)
    2. Does the PC need to be wireless or just on the same network? Mine is a wired connection on the same network.

Agreed. All devs should offer a trial IMHO.

And get it working on Windows so I can buy it.

Wi-Fi Sync for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad - that will answer your x64 questions hopefully

And no it just has to be on same network ( or same VPN if your clever)

In order to update to iOS 4.0.1, I had to completely REMOVE WiFi Sync (via the uninstaller available here.) Until I did so, the attempt to update the OS failed, and yes, I was using a USB cable. Once I removed WiFi Sync, the second attempt at the update succeeded.

Other than that, it's been working great, and wireless sync is a nice convenience. Unfortunately, that's a pretty big deal, having to uninstall completely. This is something that should be noted on the product's page. It cam be very frustrating to folks who don't know...

    Having major problems with this!

when I click on the Wi-Fi sync app on the iPhone i get the following
    "Wi-Fi Sync Error
A fatal error has occurred. Please press the home button to exit." although thats when the wifi icon isnt displayed at the top of the iphone, (even tho its on)

I've just tried the app again on my iphone and didn't get the error message (as the wifi icon is now at the top) but now it just says "searching for computer... make sure you've installed Wi-Fi sync on your computer - download from getwifisync.com and a loading circle thing that keeps rotating.....

    - I've got the windows wifi sync installed, and have made an exception for the wifi sync program in windows firewall.
    - tried restarting/re-installing everything numerous times
    - also tried the "reset paired devices..." on the windows taskbar

can anyone put me out've my misery?!

    thanks for reading

v2 is starting to beta in the next 2 weeks apparently which will be properly iPhone and iOS 4 compatible - I'd hang fire until then. v1 seems to have a fair few issues. It managed to screw my syncing up and I had to restore the phone.
