    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DlcigMvkkoU]YouTube - SNES (HD) Demo[/ame]

    I've enjoyed playing SNES on my iPhone but never really felt fully satisfied. The biggest pain was trying to cram all of the controls and the gameplay video into the iPhone's screen. We saw the surfacing of the iControlPad for users who wanted more control. While the iPhone did the job, it wasn't the best in the end. But of course, with the Jailbroken iPad comes all sorts of possibilities. Wherethewoozlewasnt has posted a preview of his new port for the iPad called SNES HD.

    The app is a port from the famous Super Nintendo emulator Snes9x we've all used on our PC's for years and is based on Zodttd's original. What is unique about this app, is the ability to pair it with your iPhone or iPod touch, thus making your iDevice become a wireless controller, using your iPad as the playing screen.

    As you can see in the video, upon launching the app, a request is sent out to the iPhone to be paired for gameplay. This can be done for up to 4 DEVICES! Yes, that's right, 4 players! While not entirely fully tested, wherethewoozlewasnt has posted a link to the source code on his website where you can get your hands on it and test it out.

    The app looks really slick and even shows an Super Nintendo system ready for a game cartridge to be inserted!

    *Note, do not link to roms on here. If your looking for links, check out the video.

    Good emulator choice, although I recommend ZSNES for porting. N64? Oh no, not the touch configurations!
    Asking for help is different from being stupid. Fanboys can rot in @#$%!

    Its OK but what would be MUCH MUCH better is if someone could jig the snes4iphone version that uses the bluetooth WII controller, to run in full screen native on the iPad and hide the transparent on screen controls.

    It is SO SO much easier to play the games with actual buttons..

    let's be honest about this....it's just a cool thing to show off. I mean where else can you really take full use of this except for your home or a living room? Nonetheless, why play it off a 10" screen when the majority of households that have an iPad surely have a flat screen in the living room...get my drift? Props to the guy that spent countless hours between the porting and bluetooth iphone dongle.....but if anything this motivates me less to get an ipad. Port it on my desktop that I have connected to my 55" LED TV and give me a physical remote with buttons. The guy blamed losing on talking while playing....but it looks like the remote size will make everybody feel like they have fat thumbs. Does anyone stand playing an emulator on the iphone or itouch? I couldn't stand it having to look where my fingers fall and the hole "lift and press" instead of sliding your thumb to the next button. Haha...imagine trying to do the FATALITIES on the ported mortal kombat....lol, i'm laughing right now thinking about it
