I've had every major service provider in the U.S. They all suck, and they are all over priced.
You should prolly try a string and to cans...lol j/k

As for me, Im ok wit AT&T...I live in Florida (Next to sarasota) and service is decent...Just wish it wasnt so expensive...They should be like Metro PCS and give unlimited everything for $45 a month...lol...That would be horrible service

....simply this for me, Some days I love'm and some days I wanna kill'm! I WISH verizaslut would get the iphone, perhaps then the huge burden would be lifted off the stressed AT&T network and I can get rid of all these dropped/failed calls! :-)

My experiences with AT&T since they switched from Cingular are summed up as, "Bitter Sweet!" That's just my humbled opinion.

Verizaslut does me no good here, my boss has to use my phone on his trips to my office because Verizaslut has no service; so with that said, I'm mostly happy with AT&T, but it could be better!!!

Note 4 and iPhone 6 Plus: The best of both worlds!

I am currently off contract w/ AT&T. I'm waiting, patiently, for Verizon to get the iPhone.
I thought Verizon didn't use SIM cards. Isn't a SIM card crucial to the iPhone?

I used to go down there every year with my Dad but that was 10+ years ago. We used to hit up the Reds and Pirates for autographs everyday between Sarasota and Bradenton (spelling?)

    Nice area!

I don't get service in my parent's house, but when I had TMobile I didn't get service in my house... so I guess AT&T wins only because my house is more important. ha. Also I get no service in Lambeau field and touchy in Miller Park, so I don't know. Never try to find somebody at a football game if you both have AT&T!

Where I live, verizon crushes AT&T service. I went to cedar point last year and as soon as we left, me and gfs iPhones both went to no service for a good two hours while my buddy in the back streamed nav the entire way with full 3g. I love my iPhone, I love the AT&T customer service, but my coverage is just down right horrible. I'm ten minutes outside of a big city, but 3g is nonexistent out here! AT&T please do something about your rural coverage!

I disliked att until I joined the iphone craze. I now love them...My thoughts are that at $100 a month it's a bargain. We get internet, phone, video, gaming, etc. All on the go. My cable bill was $100 a month, and it only does tv, at home only...Now that is a rip off.

The iPhone sold me on Apple, not AT&T - no halo effect here.

Been on AT&T with had several Nokias, Motorola v551, Razr, Blackjack, Moto Q before succuming to the 3GS & now the iPhone 4, always had great service in north Florida. I've paid for what suits my use, and only 5 or 6 dropped calls in about 9 or 10 years.

I don't know if anyone has considered this but I'd be willing to bet Verizon's network can handle all the iPhone traffic. Here is why:

After being on Verizon for a year with multiple smartphones I noticed I had great 3G coverage everywhere I went(mostly so cal with a few trips up to nor cal). In those same spots I had continuously spotty AT&T 3G coverage. Here is the kicker though, Verizon's 3G network IS slower than AT&Ts. Perhaps Verizon could handle the load because they decided to spread the 3G coverage out yet not have it be as powerful as opposed to AT&T who chose to have it be very powerful in certain areas and very crappy in others.

So Verizon would likely be able to handle all the load yet you can't expect high data speeds since Verizon has never really had high data speeds even with EV-DO Rev. A.

Kind of like a "yes we can handle it and we'll just throttle it down a bit to keep you in 3G yet not as high of a speed as you'd get in a very good 3G coverage area with AT&T.

Just my $.02 but feel free to chime in.

And yet I use my phone in SoCal and NoCal with NO issues using AT&T. All over greater LA area, I live on the coast, go to Santa Barbara, excellent service. Go up Hwy 5 and US 101 to Bay Area, no issues (except for a few dead spots in the middle of nowhere, of course) and reception is just fine in SF, Marin, Oakland and Richmond. Granted, I haven't tried getting a signal in the BART or Alameda tunnels, nor have I gone into a wine cellar in Napa and tried to make a call. As for Verizon handling a few million new smart phones on day one, that's gonna be a fun time for all.

I never understood the big gripe with AT&T myself. I travel around the country a good bit and typically get pretty good service on AT&T wherever I go (my bars jump around constantly like a Mexican jumping bean, but I always seem to be able to make a call and surf the web). Thatís why Iíve been with them for 10 years on my personal phone. I carry two phones usually, the other one is for work and they tend to change carriers every 2 or 3 years. The work phone has bounced around between Sprint, Verizon, T-Mobile and AT&T over the years and I have to hand it to AT&T as the overall winner. Verizon is a close second and the other 2 are hit or miss. I find that Sprint and T-mobile either have good service or bad service in the city that I happen to be in at the time. Additionally, Sprint never had good customer service and T-mobileís customer service has gone waaaaaay down hill. AT&T and Verizon customer service is about even. Around where I live, there are 3 areas that I can get signal with Verizon that I canít with AT&T. Now, before anybody gets excited, there are 2 places where I live that I canít get a Verizon signal but I can get AT&T. My big thing is the web. I donít talk a ton, but Iím on my browser all the time. Thatís where I find that AT&T really works well. They really do have some good data throughput in most areas in my experience. I suspect that when Verizon does get the iPhone that theyíll be in for a big surprise. Their 3G service already feels about like AT&Tís EDGE service. I imagine that when they get the iPhone, that it will slow even further unfortunately. Or maybe, theyíll pull just enough iPhone customers from AT&T such that it doesnít really affect their network adversely, but it frees up a bunch of bandwidth for me on AT&T so I get even faster speeds :-)

Folks, remember that satisfied/happy customers don't have much to say anything because there is nothing to talk about. Unless of course a survey is taken and so the truth comes out every now and then. Mind you, I don't mean subsidized J.D. Power & Associates-like findings, but truly independent research organizations.

For example, I've never seen blogs about people ranting and raving about who was the latest person in the neighborhood to win the weekly 3G speed test contest and become a member of the 5+Mbps club.

Let's just say that in my neck of the woods, my iPhone 4's 3G speed is higher than my friend's 4G speed on her HTC EVO 4G. I'm not even going to start with my incredible HSUPA uplink performance. Oh wait, I just did...
