I hope this is true. I downgraded my iPhone 3G from iOS4 to 3.1.3. My iPhone's battery life was very short... It lasts longer on 3.1.3 and when I use winterboard themes on 4.0 they lag, on 3.1.3 they run very smooth. And as everyone mentioned, not only are we looking for the update to fix it, but the jailbreak as well. Dev Team can take their time, I'm not in a rush, they work hard to give us what they want, to leave them be would be best, don't rush them. Be thankful that it's coming... Not how fast it should come out.

Ummm feel free to go TMO. The fastest you can go on TMO is Edge and the 2G is only on Edge so no ******** please.

Network connection speed and processor speed are two unrelated things, thanks for the input though

You're still wrong, T-Mobile does have a 3g network. And network speed and processor speed are still unrelated.

So you're saying that you can use 3G speeds on TMO with a 2G iPhone or any iPhone for that matter?

Yep, due to the pwnage2 bootrom hole, redsn0w and PwnageTool will always be able to jailbreak the iPhone3G. (And no need for SHSH blobs, etc).

im pretty sure that 3g can still be jailbroken via redsnow even after apples update. I dont have prob with my 3g being slow especially with RemoveBG which kills all the apps running in the background. Remember ios 4.02 can be jb with redsnow.

Not at all but you're implying that if the iPhone were to be sold through TMobile that they wouldn't make it compatible with TMobile's 3g network. Which is silly. You're being silly.

But this is all beside the point, iOS 4 is slow on the iPhone 3g regardless of what network you're on.

It's like putting Windows Vista on a Pentium 3. "Oh, weird, everything is so slow now". Of course it is you dumba$$. Go upgrade both your phone and your brain.

I implied from the beginning that the OP was free to go to TMO with his 2G instead of his complaining.
