Worked fine for me. The only problem I have encountered is using "RemoveBG" SBSettings toggle. After I hit the "RemoveBG" I lose all all data in my info bar (time, battery, network). I then have to hit the sleep button and then go back into my phone. Anyone else?
I posted this on page 13 but it may have been missed cuz of all the other questions about the jb.
Not sure if your question has been answered yet among the 60-something pages, but if anyone else has come across this issue, I figured I'd post.

    1. Make sure you have the RemoveBG APP. I'm not sure if you can have the SB RemoveBG without having the app, but you need the app for this.
    2. Tap your "RemoveBG" icon on your homepage.
    3. Tap "Exceptions"
    4. Tap the + sign at the top right of your screen
    5. The app will load a list of your applications, might take a while.
    6. If you are having the same problem as me, you will see two blank rows at the top of the list here. (will upload a pic in a second)

    7. Tap each of those rows once to add them to the list of exceptions.
    8. Tap done, go back, exit the app.
    9. Not positive, but you might need to respring real quick for the changes to take hold, I had to.

This solved my problem with the status bar disappearing when I used RemoveBG with activator. I have mine set-up so that a swipe to the right of the statusbar opens SBSettings and to the left removes background processes. For some reason, it still pops away when I RemoveBG from SBSettings. Seems as though the SBSettings toggle does not want to follow my list of exceptions.

If this worked for you, thank me. If not, I'll see what else might work.

EDIT: I'm on an iPhone 4, running 4.2.1, for what it's worth.

Only way too get different tones from everything from SMS tones to Charging Tones is getting a Cydia App called Tone FX. I have this and it let's me make tones for just bout everything from the theme tones too the SMS tones too Contacts tones. It only cost $4.99 but well worth it.

Then you'll either have too look up under the sounds Menu cause that's the only way too Do it. Other then that there really isn't any other way
Settings>Sounds>Text Tone. That's how u do it, like I said too customize it you'd need Tone FX, that's the only way.

I have the new windows jailbreak with 4.2.1 for a few days now and no problems until now. Everytime I open cydia it tells me that an error POSIX timed out. My wife has the same jailbreak but not having that issue. I then turned my wifi off and cydia was fine no error. I turned wifi back on and error came up. Anyone have an answer for this.

POSIX errors are usually caused by one or a few of your sources. Try removing some source that you suspect causes it. For example, xsellize repo give these POSIX errors sometimes.

Any one having problems with assigning different SMS tone to Contacts. I can do it but when they text I get my default text tone. not the one I had assigned.
I figured out why when someone texts me it only plays my default text tone.

I turned of my BiteSMS and it works right, But not worth turning off BiteSMS

Well never having done a jb before I did GP the other day on Windows Vista. First time it failed so I quit and retried (think I didn't do DFU correctly) and it all went through like clockwork. Loader was there and I installed Cydia. I've since tried a few themes, fonts, barrel, gridlock and a couple more - absolutely amazing. All this has been done on 3G with no probs. A whole new world has opened up in my ip4. Now I'm working on customising the iSwerve theme. Ain't life great. Thanks folks at GP. I'm hooked.

The RC6 Final is out. So if we JB using the RC5 beta 2 do we need to restore and JB with the final?

I heard you can run rc6 right over rc5, no need to restore...
