This just gets old Wiley. What the heck r u trying to tell us??? First, you go and disillusion everyone with your "smaller iPhone idea", that will never happen. And, you only reported it cuz Bloomberg did!
Actually I first heard about the smaller iPhone possibility on CNN, so that wasn't smoke and mirrors.

I was hoping for Apple to release the iPhone 5 this year, but I guess that's asking to much.
im sure that they are going to release an iphone this year, they come out in june or july, so there is time.

i think this would be a good idea, screen seams so small after having my ipad. But how will battery life be affected and the cost for a bigger retina display if they keep that
You don't like the iPad because you don't have one!

Won't happen... aginst the Apple strategy... if Steve wanted a bigger screen he would have given us a smaller ipad. Apple will not risk messing up its great collection of Apps by changing its screen size... just not gonna happen.

What I do see coming is an iPhone and an iPhone Pro...

all I want for the next iPhone (and when I say this I say it for a whole bunch of people...HOPEFULLY)
    is:

    Speed increase
    ram increase
maybe storage increase(but not really necessary)
8mp camera or at least a better one because I know mp don't REALLY matter(just to compete with all the 8mp android phones)
If possible, a better design even though it's the most S3XIEST phone on the market!
    IT DOESNT NEED A 4" screen just saying but would be NICE!!! but if this does happen think about all the hassle with the appstore apps, resolution, and a whole bunch of things. SO I SAY NO TO 4" screen{period}
MORE FEATURES or atleast better ones like make voice control ALOT MORE EASIER AND COOLER!! stuff like that.....

= BEST FREAKIN PHONE EVAR!!!! and totally ready for COMPETITION!!! does ever1 AGREE???? if I forgot something please mention it!

I would say so. I can tell from across the room when someone whips out there eve or android massive screen phone. If it goes to 4" I think it would be a smart move. But anything over 4.3 is not logical IMO. Think accessories

I don't know how I'd feel about it... Sometimes I want the extra screen for Netflix, other times I don't want it poking me in the pelvis when I sit down. I'd have to play with it first (giggity).

But did anyone else notice NinjaBaby thanked the first 41 people in this thread? I lawl'd.

4 inches sounds fine by me. I'm getting so sick and tired of straining my eyes to read the tiny a** text even on it's 3.5 inch "retina" display. And zooming in and out of paragraphs isn't any better either. Probably why I do most of my reading on the iPad anyway. I've been waiting for this upgrade. Hopefully more than just a mere rumor.
You do realize that you turn your iphone sideways and increase the text size... AND there are font downloads for jailbroken iphones too!
Pretty soon people will be walking around with iphones the size of a PURSE! YUK!

    Behind what?
-High res screen ( one of the highest)
    -16 and 32 GB storage
    -front and back camera
    -Long battery life
    -high resale value
    -Thin
    -Small
I'm pretty sure it is the highest res screen, but I think the guy was saying behind on the OS.

Also, what people forget about "waiting for jailbreaks" is that you're running the next OS and beyond with the jailbreak tweaks. With all the jailbreak stuff you can get all the good elements of Android and iOS combined.

Correct on the os, apple waits to see the success of other phones and then implements the features. I just upgraded and jailbroke this weekend for the few main features that are stock on damn near every phone, blacklist caller, custom sms tones and few others. if the phone is capable, and we proven it is, then apple should take the lead and give it to us. BTW, anyone see where the apple employee had to JB his ipad to use it with a projector and a conference. WHY, WHY, WHY????? just set the i devices free.

Don't give Wiley so much crap about this because either he is or eventually will be right. Mike Essany kept writing about the iphone being on verizon and eventually his rumors came to be true. Wiley, keep writing about a smaller ipad or a bigger iphone because sooner or later you'll be correct.

Even a blind squirrel eventually gets a nut. A broken clock(mechanical not digital) is right twice a day.

I'm sure there are more of these but those 2 are the most common.

iblacklist has been out for the iphone for a year or two now and i've yet to see an app like that for android or any other mobile phone OS that has NEAR the functionality and for a reasonable price of $10 which is definitely not the king's ransom that most apps of that status/functionality COULD command.
