Apple has just released iTunes 10.2.1, yes that's right, only 1 week after 10.2. Oddly enough I had to open up the Apple Software Update app to get the update to appear.

While the release notes state the exact same as they did with iTunes 10.2, we can only imagine that someone forgot something important to include before the release of iOS 4.3 to the public.

Earlier this morning rumor had it that iOS 4.3 was going to be released today, but after reviewing the buzz and this release of iTunes 10.2.1, it makes much more sense that tomorrow would be more logical, so don't give up hope yet on an early release.

As always, exercise caution when dealing with new iOS updates.

Reason iTune 10.2 was released because Wondows 7 SP 1 jacked up allot of peoples iTunes so Apple had to have a fix.

Does anyone else think the hype certain websites generate around an update to iOS is getting ridiculous?

It's just an update, get over it.

Doesn't explain the Mac version needing an additional .01 patch tho

Makes a pretty big impact for jailbreakers.

There are 1000's of iPhone owners that have been waiting a long time for this, as with the release of 4.3 should bring the unlock to 4.2.1 which is great news.

Just saw on Apple.com that Wifi Hotspot is for iPhone 4 only. I'm so sick of this BS from Apple, there is absolutely no reason why a 3GS cannot do wifi hotspot. No reason for me to upgrade so, I'll just get the Wifi hotspot app from Cydia.
The more Apple make software features exclusive to their newest model, the more I look into other smartphones.

^But it's Apple, they'll leave out features for the iPhone 4 when iPhone 5 comes and I don't plan on getting i5.

I find it odd that if you are already jailbroken that you would even want to pay to use apples hotspot feature when you can do it for free. As for new features only being added to new products, thats common place for many companies, not just "Evil Apple"...lol

I wouldn't be paying to use Apples hotspot feature I don't pay extra for USB/Bluetooth Tethering so why would Wifi tethering cost me anything, just pop in the APN settings and away it goes.

Ugh... This just means I'll be forced to learn EARLIER about unlocks... I've planned on unlocking when I can, but I'm not really 100% sure yet how baseband works and when it's preserved and when you're screwed when you update.

Out of all seriousness, this is cool though. We're close.

Other than "Gestures", what new features will iOS 4.3 bring? The jailbreak for iOS 4.3 is "Tethered" at the moment ( PwnageTool) so I need some good reasons to upgrade. I'll be glad when the Dev-Team is finished with their iTunes alternative. I'm tired of iTunes! It takes forever to back-up My iPad, most of the time I just say f#%^ it and start from scratch every time!
