Apple has finally released their own solution to creating and editing documents on the iPhone.

The iWork suite including Pages, Numbers, and Keynote, previously only available for the iPad, is now available as a universal app in the App Store. All of the apps are now compatible with the full litany of iDevices including the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. Users who already downloaded the iPad version and have any of the other devices can download them as a free update.

The newly released iPhone, and iPod Touch apps can import and export documents from iWork and Microsoft office as well as print over the air. Also, all of the programs include a redesigned file management system, and mutli-gesture support has been implemented into the iPhone version of each app.

The apps are available for $10 a piece from the App Store.

I used it this morning. Too many steps to change font and size. Not really a big deal, just a hassle. iPhone version is almost not usable. Hard to write a paper on an iDevice anyways.

I downloaded it this morning in the app store via my computer. I couldn't find it on the app store via the iPhone. For whatever reason you can only search for it in the iPad section, and not in the iPhone section.

Nice but I'll stick to using my iPad IMO it might be troublesome to use it on a smaller screen

I really don't think the iPhone was designed for something like this. I know I won't use it. I find iWork for the iPad very usable. I usually do a lot of my typing on that, then take it to a computer to format and finalize it.

I've already purchased the iPad version, will I have to repurchase for the iPhone?

If so, I'll pass, but if I can use it because I bought the iPad one, I might use it for the hell of it.
