Ok I know how to make ringtones but how is this guide helping me get txt tones?
If you look in your sounds folder on your iPhone you'll see that the tones are available for use as a text noise.

This is old news. I believe I've been doing this since the first iphone.
The prize goes to this guy for being the most quoted!

Runner ups are the 2 guys that agreed after it was explained text not ring.

Thanks to the author for this info!

Been using a ring tone creator app which makes the process of creating the ring tone simpler...now I can use it for a custom TEXT tone!

I used to have issues with syncing my ringtones to my old iPhone 4. Seems like after I hit like 20 custom tones, it wouldn't copy anymore. Was that an issue just for me, or is there a limit via iTunes or the iPhone?

I just checked mine; I currently have 21 custom ringtones. I make a song into a ringtone and then corresponding text, vm and mail alerts from the song, lol.
