I might go get one of these and just get an iPod touch instead of my 3GS, does pretty much the same thing as the iPhone anyway AFAIK.

oh yeah and they portrayed the "apple or nothing" fanboys perfectly

All these companies are sore losers. Since they can't sell as well as Apple's iOS devices, they have to brag and insult the competition. Do you see Apple doing this with their ads? They simply advertise their product, show some key features, nothing more, nothing less. Just proves how ****ty the competition is now a days.

Maybe you're forgetting the Mac/pc commercials?

I've had a lot of different phones (blackberry/iPhone/android) and I bought the S II a few months ago. I find it a lot better than the iPhone based on how I feel. Not gonna say android ftw or I hate apple because I don't . Both great OS's just buckles down to the consumers own preference.

Ps: sent from my iPad 2

hahaha soo true though that's EXACTLY how fanboys/fangirls are!! Standing in line for hours and hours for THE SAME THING THAT CAME OUT LAST YEAR
You're not very bright, are you?

Too bad there's just as many, if not more, fanboys on the other side of the fence. I've seen plenty of comments form people who were bent on buying a Nexus phone whenever it comes out without even knowing what the specs were going to be: the same people who like ot rip on Apple for having less mp's a gHz's than some Android phones. FanDroids couldn't say enough about how amazingly better the SGSII camera is because it's 8mp vs Apple's 5mp. Then the Nexus came out with a 5mp camera and suddenly mp's didn't matter any more. It's the same crap with a proportionately small groups on both sides, and Samsung is in poor taste by insulting insulting potential customers instead of simply stating how their product is better than the competition.

funny how they had to come out with a white Samsung Galaxy S II to imitate what apple did.
Funny how Apple had to come out with a telephone to imitate what Alexander Graham Bell did...

Its funny that when apple went off with their "vista ads", other companies begin to learn to exploit this kind of advertising.Difference though - vista ads were fun. This one is true, but not fun at all.In other words - they are behind even in this...

LOL at the people that are butthurt about the ad. Seriously, its just a commercial, get over it. As far as the Galaxy S II Skyrocket is concerned, I think I'm sold on it. I'm one of the hardcore mac fanboys and I am seriously disappointed w/ the 4S. Sorry I was expecting a bigger screen and a few more options. I also like how Android works w/ hackers instead of coming out w/ pointless updates to prevent a jailbreak/mod.Anyways, I think this commercial is comedy.

They should make another commercial showing all those people returning their S2's. Lol!
That would be funny if apple and samsung had ad wars were they purposely insult the other phone.

Instead of converting iPhone owners to Galaxy SII buyers by showing the phone's compelling features, Samsung insulted iPhone owners.
No, they insulted iFanboys. I own an iPhone and I thought at the ad was hilarious.

Same boat for me man. Very happy with my switch, but that isn't to say I'm not glad with what Apple has done for the smartphone market.

I do think the commercial is a bit weak all things considered (childish), but things that hurt your feelings usually have a ring of truth.

I don't see it as insulting, but at the same time, I'd never wait in line to buy a phone. My favorite line is "it looks the same, so how will people know I upgraded?" Too bad that's a comment that's only comes from the bashers. Fanboys on both sides are d-bags.

I've had both the Galaxy SII and the 4S and the Galaxy SII really does leave you with a sense of, wow... Android is getting better. Its not quite there, but its growing quickly. The screen on the galaxy is very large in good and bad ways... the keypad when dialing a number is so obnoxiously large it makes you feel like a dumb, blind fool. But movies don't leave your eyes straining during a high-action part vs. the iPhone's small screen. Another neat feature is the out-of-the-box turn by turn navigation. Apple REALLY needs to jump in on this... there is no reason we should be paying so much money for navigation apps when the hardware is so capable. I do believe that Apple is very, VERY conscious about the usability of their phone, hence why I believe you will NEVER see an iPhone's screen as large as a Galaxy SII. When you hold an iPhone in one hand and reach your thumb to all corners of the screen, it is a comfortable move. Doing the same on a Galaxy SII is quite a stretch and feels unstable... sometimes almost dropping the phone as you manipulate the phone towards your thumb. The SII is lighter (although larger) which is nice, but almost feels cheap. Apple's use of glass and aluminum materials vs. plastic really makes the user feel like they are holding something powerful... something that represents the forefront of technology. Something that has always been the main decider in iOS vs. Android is the freedom of Android. I have been without a Jailbreak on my 4S since I purchased it and let me tell you... its pretty painful. iOS5 is decent, but there are SOOO many tweaks that I miss when I had my jailbroken 3GS and I still dont feel like I am using "my phone." Mostly because I am using Apple's phone... with Apples rules. However, its safe. Android is very open and your phone can be easily modified to your liking... to anyone's liking. Android malware is up 427% since July. That is pretty scary and I believe Android should take action. However, if they do so... then the appeal of Android freedom will be gone. The iPhone without being jailbroken in my opinion is just a "good" phone. Not amazing.. just good. The Galaxy SII is also a "good" phone. I still like iOS better than Android, and for me, the iPhone 4S hardware feels right. But... Android software and the phones that are being developed are both growing quickly in the right direction. However, so is the iPhone. And we as consumers are greatly benefiting from this ongoing competition.

Okay, im done... sorry... just venting a little.

oh i agree, i use to hate it when the iphone 1 came out. I use to always have the best phones from overseas and when the iphone came out i hated it..... that is until i bought it haha.... owned every one since(But not the 4s), it did get us to where we are today. Took another leap when i got the S2 and i believe its the next step... i love only having to root once and i can load roms at will. I can customize as i like... its the best

You realize the only phone Samsung is responsible for is the original international Galaxy S II i9100? The other variants are just the carriers modifications on what they believe their customers want.
