    Is it really necessary to actually modify someone's words in this manner? My main problem is, when you're outright changing the text of post, you're effectually changing reality, making it look like they wrote a piece that they did not write in that manner, which can sometimes lead to trouble for that writer that you, the moderator, did not foresee. Having been an administrator on several forums over the years, this is something that is usually very frowned upon. Usually we delete the contents of a post entirely, if anything. I have nothing against wanting to keep things sane, but personally I find this level of censorship to going a wee bit too far.
