    Apple announced the 2012 Apple Design Award winners after the opening keynote and the winners received some hefty prizes. The nominations for this year’s award were opened in late April, decided upon, and announced today at the 2012 Worldwide Developer Conference in Moscone West.

    The winners received a special lanyard to commemorate the event, a new MacBook Air, a new third-generation iPad, an iPod Touch, and the Apple Design Award trophy. The compilation of winners per platform can be found below:
