Here are the best jailbreak creations for the week of October 15th until today, October 21st as per the opinion of our staff. This is a weekly recap.

    1. CameraTweak – 99˘

CameraTweak is a revolutionary new jailbreak tweak for the iPhone by iOS developer Samball that makes the iPhone’s Camera application absolutely perfect. It adds tons of new features to the Camera application such as manual focus and exposure, timed photographs, time lapse, additional composition overlays, different video resolutions, different video aspect ratios, and custom frame rates. CameraTweak is a steal for all of the features you get for just 99˘ and we would consider this one of the best tweaks of 2012 in the 99˘ range. If you love photography and your iPhone, then you are going to love CameraTweak. It works with iPhone 3GS and newer running both iOS 5 and iOS 6.

    2. Ostium – 99˘

Ostium is a new jailbreak tweak by iOS developer danyl that gives us a new Notification Center animation. The new animation makes the screen appear to split, while Notification Center reveals itself in the background. From the home screen, users can use two fingers and spread them to open Notification Center. The user can also pinch with two fingers to reverse the animation and close Notification Center. Ostium allows you to also integrate the stock animation into the new animation, although we think it looks better without the integration. With the level of detail this tweak has including the fluidity of the animation and the realistic shadowing, we would certainly recommend for anyone that loves non-native animations.

    3. VSNotifications – FREE

VSNotifications is a great free jailbreak tweak that gives you spoken notifications for any application. For the notifications, you can opt to have the tweak speak only the message, or only the title, or both. The tweak also has many other voice features that you can play with, which include Activator integration. One of the cool features the tweak has is the ability to invoke a prompt, in which you can then enter text to be spoken with Siri's voice. You can also make the tweak say something when you launch or close applications. Being that the tweak is free, it’s a must-have for anyone that has ever wanted vocal notifications on the iPhone.
