It's the feel-good story of the day in iOS-land. Dallas Cowboys star cornerback Brandon Carr is offering his thanks to Apple's FaceTime, as it enabled he NFL player to witness the birth of his first son.

"I saw everything I needed to see," Carr tells the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. "I saw it all. Technology is wonderful these days. Sometimes you can't control what's going to happen. You've just got to go with the flow. I made the most of it."

It was a good feeling to be there and actually see your first son. Im still trying to gather my thoughts and bring it all in. The last two days have been good. Its a blessed feeling.
Carr was on the West Coast with the Cowboys when his fiance suddenly went into labor in Dallas. Unable to make it back in time for the birth of son Austin, Carr's iPhone brought him into the delivery room.

This story, which involves one of the NFL's most promising and highest paid talents, comes on the heels of another (kind of sappy) Apple ad that demonstrates how the flagship smartphone connects separated friends and family during the times that matter most.

    I need a tissue.

Really? I don't see anything references to Facetime in his quote. Even if he does mention Facetime I think it gotta be some kind of endorsement, because there are plenty of other services that offer the same thing.

"Carr's iPhone brought him into the delivery room" his iTunes app didn't bring him there, nor his address book app, oh it must've been his camera app that sent him beaming down to the room.

Welcome to the 21st century. No need to be at your first born's birth, your grand parents funeral, hell I'll even get married by FaceTime! I remember all 3 times my wife was pregnant and made sure I was around all the time for 8th & 9th month, but hey I'm not a baller sooooo....

In a world where people can videochat over a mobile device, authors of a news service have not discovered spell-check and proofreading.

Money over family. Unless she was in preterm labor, he just made himself look like a ****** for not being there in the first place. Maybe his son can get an iPhone so he can use FaceTime for parenting too.
