AT&T earlier this month announced the wireless carrierís plans to launch 4G LTE in another 50 cities in the United States before the end of 2013. The carrier has been keeping their promise, and Wednesday opened up 4G LTE access to a handful of new U.S. cities.

Those new cities include the following:

    • Champaign, Illinois
    • Corning, New York
    • Marshall, Texas
    • Mayfield, Kentucky
    • Milwaukee, Wisconsin
    • Moultrie, Georgia
    • Paducah, Kentucky
    • Springfield, Ohio
    • Stevens Point, Wisconsin
    • Tifton, Georgia
    • Tupelo, Mississippi
    • Tyler, Texas

AT&Tís 4G LTE network is not as large as Verizonís, but fortunately AT&T does offer 4G HSPA+, which can be accessed by many devices when 4G LTE isnít available. 4G HSPA+ offers a slight boost in speed over 3G.

4G LTE offers a theoretical download speed of around 100Mb/s, but realistically because of the unfortunate realities of network congestion, download speeds are more or less around 20-60Mb/s.

Many of Apple's latest devices, including the iPhone 5, iPad Mini, and iPad with retina display can take advantage of AT&T's ultra-fast 4G LTE network.
