In what many can agree is a long overdue update, Plants vs. Zombies has finally been updated with support for the four-inch display, which is sported by the iPhone 5, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, and iPod touch 5G. This means no more letterboxing on the edges of the display.

The update also adds support for Apple’s latest iOS 7 operating system to ensure that the game doesn’t give players any issues with compatibility. This improves the game’s stability and overall performance. Other changes in the update include bug fixes.

Plants vs. Zombies was a hugely popular game, but a sequel was released back in August dubbed Plants vs. Zombies 2 and was EA's most popular release ever. Plants vs. Zombies 2 was free at release with in-app purchases, unlike the original Plants vs. Zombies. Notably, Plants vs. Zombies 2 already supports four-inch displays.

For those that want to download the new version of Plants vs. Zombies, it can be downloaded via this App Store link for just 99˘. Alternatively, if you have it installed already, you’ll find the update under the Updates tab in the App Store.
