Facebook has been teasing its plans to release an all-new Facebook Messenger application for iOS since October. On Wednesday, Facebook has finally delivered the goods by updating the Facebook Messenger application and bringing the application up to version 3.0.

The application has been given an all-new iOS 7-friendly design, as you can see from the screenshots above. In addition, the application gets support for Apple’s latest mobile operating system.

Facebook Messenger has also been given all-new custom in-app sounds, and the ability for users to message people that are in the user's Contacts application, whether they're friends with the person on Facebook or not. With this feature, the application uses the person's phone number to contact them.

The all-new Facebook Messenger application both looks great and feels great. Existing users of Facebook Messenger will find the update under the Updates tab in the App Store application. Alternatively, you can download the latest version of Facebook Messenger for iOS for free from this App Store link.

Oh god Stickers! They are copying Line.

I couldn't have imagined this a few years ago, but back in the days Asian software used to be nothing more than ripoffs of their American counterparts, but now Line, Kako, and WeChat, clearly have a more feature-rich and holistic platform than Fb messenger or Whatsapp does.
