If you're familiar with the popular QuickGestures jailbreak tweak, which adds useful Android-style gestures to the Contacts application on a per-contact basis, then you'll be happy to hear that the developer, iLendSoft, has released QuickGestures 2 with full support for iOS 7. If you've never heard of the tweak before, and want to learn more, then read on!

Basically what this tweak does for you is add three new gestures to the Contacts application. When you're on the main contacts page, which lists all of your contacts in alphabetical order via last name, you can swipe to the left on a contact name, swipe to the right on a contact name, or tap and hold on a contact name for something to happen.

By default, the tweak is set to open a text message interface to the person that you swipe to the left on, call the person that you swipe to the right on, or open an e-mail interface to the person that you tap and old on. You can configure these in any way that you like, and you can even use FaceTime as an option if you don't want to call, text, or e-mail somebody.

The tweak adds a preferences pane to the Settings application where you can configure all of its options:

You’ll be able to enable or disable the tweak on demand, enable or disable each of the individual gestures, choose the colors for the swiping for each swipe gesture, configure the length of the long-hold on a contact, choose to hide or show the search bar in the application, and choose to hide or show the search headers in the application.

The tweak is great for saving a little time when you want to get in touch with someone, and it's well-implemented and looks good. If you own QuickGestures already, then QuickGestures 2 is a free upgrade. If you want to buy QuickGestures 2 for the first time, then it's available in Cydia's BigBoss repository for just 99˘.
