Every once in a while you will come across a word that you want to find the meaning of. iOS has a very nice built-in dictionary, and a new free jailbreak tweak called SpotDefine by iOS developer Tyler Hoffman will make it really easy for you to take advantage of this built-in dictionary. You won't even need to have a separate dictionary application on your iOS device anymore.

With SpotDefine installed, you can just type a word that you want to define into SpotLight in iOS 7, and you'll find a new button in the search results labeled "Search for Definition" that you can tap on in order to define the word that you typed into SpotLight, as shown above.

If you never use SpotLight, this tweak will give you a reason to actually use it. On the other hand, if you use SpotLight regularly, this tweak will just give you another reason to love it more.

SpotDefine is compatible with both 32-bit and 64-bit iOS devices running iOS 7. The tweak has no options to configure. If you want to give SpotDefine a try, it's available in Cydia's BigBoss repository for free.

Sometimes I am surprised about the incompetence of apple to see that this should be standard in the iOS.

That'll work... Goodbye dictionary.com app (I think it takes up more space than the majority of apps I have installed)

It'd be nice if it had a spell checker too.
