Voltage is a simple new jailbreak tweak by iOS developer TheNinjaprawn that displays a numeric volume percentage in the volume HUD (heads-up display), as shown above.

Normally, you only see a graphical representation of the volume level below the volume or ringer icon in the HUD, but with this tweak, instead of only a title, you can also have a numeric representation.

The tweak is customizable, and adds a preferences pane to the Settings application:

Here, you can enable or disable the tweak on demand, as well as configure the format for the numeric representation. You can use "%%" to show the volume number, "%%%" to show the volume percent, and you can even place any text that you want before or after the percent symbols. You'll need to tap on the save button for your changes to take effect, but they'll take effect immediately without requiring a respring.

If you would like to give Voltage a try, it's available for free right now in Cydia's BigBoss repository. The tweak requires iOS 7 to be installed, but works on iPhone, iPod touch, and even the iPad.

Can the percent be set on a lower format?? Like 100%?? The default is 1000+ Too many numbers for my taste. Even 1-10 would be good.
