If you use Apple's Find My Friends application for iOS, then you're well aware that the application could do with some feature set improvements.

A new free jailbreak tweak called FMFNotifier by iOS developer gianlup is now available that adds a couple of handy new features to the Find My Friends application for iOS, for those of you that use it.

The main feature that the tweak gives you is the ability to be notified when someone requests your location. The tweak gives you iOS-style Lock Screen and banner notifications that you would expect if Apple were to implement a similar feature. In addition to the notifications, FMFNotifier allows you to force the application to save your password so that you won't have to enter it each time you go to open the application.

FMFNotifier adds a preferences pane to the Settings application where you can configure a few options:

You will be able to enable or disable Find My Friends notifications on demand, as well as choose an interval for notifications appearing in seconds. You will also be able to enable or disable letting the tweak save your password securely in the Find My Friends application so you won't have to manually type it in each time.

FMFNotifier is compatible with iOS 7 on all iOS devices, whether it's an iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad. You must have the Find My Friends application from Apple installed to take full advantage of the tweak it's a free download from the App Store (link here).

If you would like to give FMFNotifier a try, it's available for free right now in Cydia's ModMyi repository.
