On Tuesday, the very popular Fandango Movies application for iOS, used to looking up information on movies, ordering movie tickets, and more has received an update that makes version 6.0 of the application the latest version.

The update is a pretty notable one – version 6.0 touts a new look and feel for the application that visually improves the aesthetics of the application all around. Fandango notes that the new looks affect the appearance of movie pages, as well as theater lists, and an all-new rating system for movies.

Notably, the update also brings the Spotlight carousel to the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad as a new way to discover information on movies.

For those that don't want to create a new account with Fandango to use certain features in the application, the update also allows new users to sign in with Facebook or Google+ as an alternative. At this point in time, this feature is only available to iPhone and iPod touch users, but will roll out to iPad users in the future.

Existing users of the Fandango Movies application for iOS will find the update under the Updates tab in the App Store application. Alternatively, you can download the latest version of the Fandango application for free via this App Store link.
