A lot of times, you might find yourself somewhere where someone is going to be nosy and stare at your display while you enter your iOS device's passcode. There are a lot of anti-nosy-people jailbreak tweaks out there, but one of the more recent is DoublePass by iOS developer Phillip Tennen.

DoublePass is basically a nosy person deterrent. It will make you enter your passcode twice in order to unlock your iOS device. The first time that you enter your passcode, the screen will shake the same way it would if you entered your passcode incorrectly. The next time you enter your passcode, your device will unlock.

So how the tweak a nosy person deterrent? it helps in two main ways:

    1. If someone is staring at your device while you try to enter your passcode, and they see that a certain passcode is "incorrecty," (such as when the screen shakes the first time you enter it) they won't try that passcode.

    2. If someone wanted to use a "Brute Force" technique to try and guess your passcode, they're not going to try the same passcode more than once, because the device already rejected it once.

The tweak adds a preferences pane to the Settings application where you will need to enter your true passcode. You will be asked to respring after you save it:

Obviously, this isn't a fail-proof solution to nosy people looking over your shoulder, but it's a good way to deter many types of nosy people that try to get into your iOS device. If you don't think any of the reasons above might be helpful to you, then you're basically installing a tweak that's going to force you to take two times longer to unlock your device, so from a certain standpoint, it can also be a downgrade.

If you would like to give DoublePass a try, it's available for free in Cydia's BigBoss repository.

Your first point tho? Wouldn't that person keep looking until they see the correct pass code? Nitpicking, I know.
