    There is now an app for all those looking to follow the 2014 Soccer World Cup on their iPhones. ESPN, the U.S. based global cable and satellite television channel released an iPhone app called ESPN FC Soccer & World Cup and it is your one-stop shop for everything that has to do with the upcoming games.

    The app is free in the App Store and soccer fans can follow full-time exclusive in-game highlights, ESPN’s coverage of all the major club leagues, breaking news, and analysis. For those who aren’t sure when the 2014 FIFA World Cup takes place, it starts on June 12th and goes through July 13th and takes place in Brazil. ESPN will be the FIFA Official United States Broadcaster and the key hightlights include:

    • Reaction and analysis on the ground in Brazil from authorities such as Gabriele Marcotti, Sid Lowe,
    Jeff Carlisle, Roger Bennett, Raphael Honigstein, Tim Vickery Fernando Duarte and Men in Blazers.
    • In-depth reports on the U.S., Mexico, Brazil, England, Germany, Spain and other national teams.
    • Premier League, La Liga, MLS, Liga MX, Serie A, Bundesliga, Ligue 1 and much more
    • FIFA World Cup, UEFA Champions League, Europa League, European Championships, FA Cup, Capital One
    Cup, MLS playoffs, Copa del Rey, Copa Libertadores, Copa Sudamericana, Copa MX, Copa Argentina and
    • Transfer Centre and Transfer Talk blog will keep you up-to-date on all the game’s key transfer news
    • Personalized scores and live game details — goals, stats, lineups, tables, injuries, fixtures, video highlights
    and more

    Geographic restrictions may apply because of licensing reasons, therefore some videos will only be available in the U.S. It was noted by ESPN that everyone who uses the app should accept location services during initial launch so they can receive all available videos for their country.

    ESPN FC Soccer & World Cup is a 17.2 MB download from the App Store and will require iOS 7.0+ and runs natively on the iPod Touch and iPhone.
