If you've ever had the urge of having some way of easily discerning how many words you have typed into one of your notes in your Notes application in iOS, then you're in luck.

Rather than painstakingly going through and manually counting all of the words in the note, you can now use a new free jailbreak tweak called NotesCounter by iOS developer Julian Weiss, as shown above.

NotesCounter adds a small word counter right above the keyboard. By the nature of the design, it's minimalistic and doesn't get in the way of much. You can also tap on the word counter and it will become dim/transparent. Tapping on it again will make it darker and easier to read again.

The word counter will update in real time as you type words into the Notes application to take into account everything that you're typing. There is no delay while typing.

NotesCounter is a cool little addition for your Notes application and it's simple to use. There are no options to configure, and it supports iOS 6.0-7.0.6. NotesCounter is also an open source jailbreak tweak, so you can view its source code on Github via [url=https://github.com/insanj/NotesCounter]this link[/irl]. If you would like to give NotesCounter a try, it's available for free right now in Cydia's BigBoss repository.
