On Wednesday, Rovio updated its popular Angry Birds Go! Kart-racing game for the iOS platform bringing the game up to version 1.4.0. The game was originally released in December of last year, and unlike other Angry Birds games, this game places your favorite Rovio characters inside of go-karts that you race around in.

Wednesday's update gives the game a long-awaited feature: the ability to take advantage of multi-player gaming. Rovio notes that the multi-player gaming can be used to play anyone around the world. You can even sign in with Facebook to play with any of your Facebook friends that are playing Angry Birds Go!, so if preferred, you can stick with just playing against your friends.

The update also adds new challenges, allowing you to challenge other people to beat your times. This goes along nicely with the multi-player mode, as you can now egg people on (no pun intended) to start playing Angry Birds Go! with you.

Rovio promises expansion of the multi-player mode in the future, so there is certainly more good stuff to come. Existing players of Angry Birds Go! can download the update for free from the Updates tab in the App Store application. Alternatively, you can download the latest version of Angry Birds Go! for free from this App Store link.
