Normally, whenever you search for something in Spotlight in iOS 7 and you want to close out of SpotLight, you have to press the Home Button or tap on the Cancel button after searching for something.

Bringing you even more flexibility is a new free jailbreak tweak called SLgestures by iOS developer twodayslate, which allows you to tap anywhere in the search table outside of the search results to close SpotLight after you've performed a search, as shown above.

The tweak is very simple to operate and doesn't come with any options for the user to configure. It's also an open source jailbreak tweak, and if you're interested in looking at the source code for the tweak, you can visit this GitHub link.

SLgestures is available for free in Cydia's BigBoss repository and requires iOS 7 to be installed. The developer recommends using it with his recently-released blurSL tweak, as they work together nicely.
