More big news for Apple today. In addition to updating MacBook Pro with Retina display and launching new channels for the Apple TV, the Cupertino, California-based tech maker is also making it easier for people around the world to take advantage of AppleCare+ Warranties.

As of this writing, iPhone, iPad, and iPod users residing in Mexico and Sweden now have -- for the first time ever -- the ability to sign up for AppleCare+ warranty coverage. This, of course, is all part of Apple's big-picture plan to make the coverage available to as many consumers around the globe as possible.

Although AppleCare+ plans are old hat domestically, the ability to tack on another year of hardware coverage to relatively expensive Apple mobile products inside of emerging mobile markets could be an attractive offering to consumers in these geographic regions.

If AppleCare+ sees widespread adoption in these new hotspots, it's a safe bet we could see even great global access (and faster than expected) to AppleCare+ warranties down the road.
