On Tuesday, Facebook issued an update for the popular Facebook Messenger application in the iOS App Store. Facebook has been pushing for Facebook users to install the Messenger application in order to message on Facebook from their mobile devices, as the Facebook application itself has had the messaging features stripped from it in order to get users to download Facebook Messenger.

While many users are flustered with this decision on Facebook's behalf, the company is continuing to push forward with version 10.0 to the popular companion application to Facebook.

Version 10.0 brings users a improvements for sharing photos and videos with their Facebook friends, or anyone else that they're messaging. For example, Facebook is increasing the amount of photos that you're allowed to send to a person at once so that you won't have to continually go back and forth when trying to send a large group of photos to someone. Users will also find that viewing photos and videos from the application is now a much more pleasant experience.

In addition, Facebook has introduced some bug fixes to help improve the application's overall stability and reliability.

If you're an existing user of Facebook Messenger and want to grab this update, it's available for free under the Updates tab in the App Store application. Alternatively, you can download the latest version of Facebook Messenger for free from this App Store link.

Screw this app! It's already making it's way on the news about how much it has access to everything on your phone. Basically a trojan horse to grab anything in your phone. Have no idea how or why Apple would let a app like this through.

The majority of every app out there asks for permissions to do this or that. This app didn't do anything different than the others have done. No one threw a fuss, either. Just because it's Facebook, that's why it made the news.

Some reading material if anyone is interested.
