In this post, we're going to take you through five great free games and applications for iOS from the App Store to help keep you the loop of some neat free games and applications – and hey; feel free to download them and give them a try!

If you missed our previous 10 Great Free Apps and Games for iOS, you can head over to this link to read our August 14th edition.

    1. Swing Copters

Fresh in the App Store is a new Indie game called Swing Copters by the same iOS developer that brought us Flappy Bird – Dong Nguyen. In this game, you must guide the helicopter between the swinging hammers; you tap on the screen in order to change direction with your helicopter. Your goal is to reach a score of 4 in order to unlock new characters in the game, but if you thought that Flappy Bird was hard, then you're in for a surprise when you play Swing Copters. Check it out!

Swing Copters can be downloaded for free from this App Store link.

    2. Star Wars: Commander

Next up, and just released today, is a new combat strategy game called Star Wars: Commander. In this game, you'll build yourself a base and it will be your job to maintain and protect it. You'll use defenses, weapons, and more to protect your base from enemies all around the world. There are also a number of missions that you'll have to carry out on your own. It's a great game for those Star Wars fans out there, so check it out!

Star Wars: Commander can be downloaded for free from this App Store link.

    3. Watch Out!

Another cool game that'll help you pass the time on a slow work day is Watch Out! In this game, two creatures sprint at each other, and it's your job to make sure that the right one jumps at the right time so that the two creatures don't collide. If the two creatures collide, it's game over. Your goal is to make the bigger creature jump over the smaller creature. The sizes alternate from side to side, so you'll have to keep a careful eye out. This is a high score-based game, so you'll just try to beat your score each time you play. Check it out!

Watch Out! can be downloaded for free from this App Store link.

    4. Mountain Bike Challenge

In addition to those, you may want to check out Mountain Bike Challenge. This game puts you behind the handlebars of mountain bikes where you can race against time and avoid obstacles. You'll try not to crash, since crashing puts you behind in the race. It's a two-handed landscape orientation game with pretty nice graphics and tons of levels to play through, so give it a try!

Mountain Bike Challenge can be downloaded for free from this App Store link.

    5. Photo Sphere

Last, but definitely not least, we think you should try Google's new Photo Sphere application for iOS. This application lets you take a 360 photograph and then share your photos with your friends, or even with the general public through Google Maps. You'll have to have an iPhone 4s or newer to use this application, but when you're using it, you'll be rotating your device in a 360 fashion – that's 180 more than Apple's panorama mode in the stock Camera application! Check it out!

Photo Sphere can be downloaded for free from this App Store link.

They're not in any specific order as to what one is best.
