If detailed information about your signal strength ever interests you, you can use a new free jailbreak tweak called RSSIPeek by iOS developer Elijah Frederickson to keep a close eye on your RSSI (received signal strength indicator) level.

RSSIPeek is an Activator-based tweak. You can assign any Activator action that you want to the tweak and when you invoke the Activator action that you choose, your Status Bar's sign strength dots will be replaced with an RSSI level for a short period of time before automatically changing back to signal strength dots.

The tweak can be configured from the Activator preferences pane:

Frederickson notes that RSSIPeek is compatible with other popular tweaks like Protean, Circlet, and even Meter. RSSIPeek is also an open source jailbreak tweak, so if you're interested in learning what makes it tick, you can head over to GitHub at this link.

If you want to give RSSIPeek a try, it's available for free right now in Cydia's BigBoss repository. iOS 7 is required for the installation, as is Activator. If you don't already have Activator installed, it will be installed alongside RSSIPeek for you.
