Twitter has released an updated version of its application for iOS on Thursday with some significant new features. The updated version is 6.13.3 and it's now available in the iOS App Store for those interested.

The updated Twitter client for iOS brings a significant design change to user profiles, as you can see above. The new design puts more emphasis on your user biography, as well as your Tweets and Photos. The new design is much more minimalistic, and gives you much more canvas space real estate for viewing content by doing away with unnecessary clutter.

The new profile design is available to all users on iOS 7 and above.

The update not only focuses on design, but also on function. With new Interactive Notification, as Twitter calls them, you can now engage yourself on Twitter even while you're in the middle of using other applications. This feature is for iOS 8 only, and works much like the Quick Reply feature for the Messages application, allowing you to easily respond to notifications from anywhere.

Lastly, the update also makes it so that you have easy access to all of your saved drafts when you're trying to compose a Tweet, that way, you can easily start up where you left off.

Existing users of the Twitter application for iOS will find this update under the Updates tab in the App Store application. Alternatively, you can download the Twitter application for free from this App Store link.

Cool, app updates aren't working for me on iOS 8.
