Ever since iOS 8 was released in September, many issues arose for those who upgraded to the new iOS, which has left many customers upset and frustrated. Now it has been reported that consumers are having problems connecting their devices to Bluetooth in their cars. Cars that were reported having issues connecting include Audi, BMW, Chevy, Mercedes, Nissan, Toyota, Volkswagen, and aftermarket stereos as well. AppleInsider tested out this issue firsthand and has found that no sounds come through the car’s speakers when dialed.

It seems like the problem is a connection issue because users also complained about not being able to hear anything in the vehicle when playing podcasts or music through their devices. Apparently, a fix in iOS 8.1 is supposed to be issued when it gets released to the public. Currently, iOS 8.1 is still in beta and being tested by developers.

iOS 8.1 is rumored to be released sometime this month along with the highly anticipated Apple Pay feature. Let’s see if the update will fix all major problems consumers has had with iOS 8, thus far. Have you had any issues with the new iOS? Let us know in the comments below.

That is Apple for you... remembering the days of Late Mr. Jobs... there were issues then, but ever since he passed away... it has just gone from bad to worse with little or no signs of improvement! Plus it is poorly optimized for older gens... like iOS 7 on iPhone 4 and iOS 8 on iPhone 4S.
Apple tries really hard to milk every last customer into upgrading to their latest but not the greatest iPhone 6/6+ with a broken firmware which Apple refuses to fix or deliberately delays a fix so that they can fix loopholes if an impatient JB developer decides to release the iOS 8.0.2 JB.
Hope the JB devs hold the release till after 8.1. I'm sure Apple will leave minor bugs behind in that version as well... ridiculous Apple!

Uhg, that's unfortunate, but not a surprise! I had lots of trouble connecting to my home wifi network, too. I had to buy a new router with a simultaneous dual-band radio to fix the problem.

What's up, Apple? Something is not right at that company. "It just works" is a laugh.

Don't think a jailbreak will come before 8.1 as they would wait till apple pay is launched!

I guess gmc would be same as Chevy since I'm having trouble with my GMC Acadia. I do also have a problem with a pioneer radio. Sometimes it connects sometimes it doesn't.

I haven't had nay problems on the few "N" routers I connected to so far. I don't know how old your router was, but I see a lot of people wanting to connect a 2014 phone that does wireless ac, dual band and MAC randomization to a 5 year old single band b/g router; and then wonder why they get trouble connecting/disconnects/etc. It may be roughly compatible yes, but not the best experience.

Heck, I just upgraded to a "N" router and feel like I'm living in the past not having ac now. But my laptop only supports N (I had to buy a new wireless card for $15) and I'm still getting my max speeds from my provider 50/10mbps (actually 52/12).

To the Bluetooth issue it sounds like 8.1 fixes it and it should be out any day now with Apple Pay that is set to go live October 20th. It sucks, yes, but it is not like it wasn't fixed in about 3-4 weeks.

There have been a lot of iOS8 bugs. But at least they are fixing them very very quickly (within 2-3 weeks average) and not ignoring it. I can't say the same about a lot of other manufacturers who issue updates every few months maybe. This is one inherent problem with Android- you have bugs in the OS itself from Google and then bugs in the skins by Samsung, HTC etc. It takes FOREVER to get an update to fix tiny bugs because both parties need to go through the software first before release. Then and only then the carrier gets it for testing which can be another few weeks. It could be 4-6 months to get 1 update. That's why so many people turn to custom ROMs. While Android L is already in testing, and just shown on video for the GS5, I wouldn't expect official updates for 6 months (leaves google, gets skinned, then to carriers to test and release)

I would much rather have the small bugs Apple has (minus the 8.0.1 update that broke everything) that are being fixed in 2-3 weeks max than waiting on Android again for a custom ROM to flash to fix problems (and custom ROMs are still buggy) that might take the carrier/Google/Samsung (or HTC etc) months to fix. Apple still has the right model at the end of the day doing direct updates to the devices and carriers have nothing to do with it. I got tired of flashing my GS5 to fix stock firmware problems and lag, having to update that flash every 2 weeks as bugs got worked out. Too much maintenance.
