If you listen to a lot of music on your jailbroken iOS 7 device, whether you're using the stock Music application or some kind of third-party music application from the App Store, then you might enjoy a new jailbreak tweak called QuickMusic by iOS developer Gabriele Filipponi.

QuickMusic gives you a beautiful new way to see and control the music that you're listening to. It's an Activator-based jailbreak tweak that, when open, uses beautiful blur effects and iOS 7-esque aesthetics to look nice and function well.

Shown above, you can see that when the Activator action you choose is invoked, a Control Center-like sheet comes down from the top of the display with a grabber. When you tap on the pause button to pause the music that is playing, it becomes smaller. When you drag down on the grabber, you get a full-screen experience where you can see the album artwork and song information – you can then swipe to the left to see all of the songs on your device and pick a new one to play.

Pause, play, fast forward, and previous buttons are included in the interface so that you can control the music that you're listening to.

When you install the tweak for a first time and then visit the tweak's preferences pane in the Settings application, the tweak will walk you through a tutorial for setting up some visual options, but you can always go back later and change the settings from the preferences pane, which is shown below:

From here, you can enable or disable the tweak on demand, configure a variety of customization options, and learn more about the developers.

Under the customization options, you will find a setup guide (the one you went through when you set up the tweak for the first time), the ability to enable or disable the blurred album cover as a background color, the ability to square out the album artwork or leave it with the rounded edges, the ability to enable or disable support for iCloud-based music, a way to configure an Activator gesture, and options to changing the blur effect, text color, and tint color.

Configure an Activator action that you're comfortable with:

Under the blur effects, you can choose any of the following:

    • Adaptive light

At this point in time, QuickMusic is only for the iPhone or iPod touch – not the iPad. The tweak also requires iOS 7.0 through iOS 7.1.2 to be used. The QuickMusic interface can be accessed from the Lock Screen, Home Screen, and from any application.

If you want to give QuickMusic a try, it's available in Cydia's BigBoss repository right now for $1.99.

Good tweak, but has a few bugs. The fast forward to next song option isn't working properly and there is no shuffle function.
