If you're familiar with alarms in iOS, then you know that when the alarm is going off on the Lock Screen, iOS only gives you a way to snooze the alarm from the Lock Screen. You have to be woken up enough to unlock the device to actually turn it off.

Fortunately, a new jailbreak tweak for iOS 8 called StopAlarm iOS 8 by iOS developer Rene Kahle. As shown above, this tweak makes it so that you can either snooze OR stop an alarm from the Lock Screen, instead of only being able to snooze it.

Notably, the non-iOS 8 version of this tweak was free, but the developer is charging $1.00 for the iOS 8 version of this tweak and we're unsure why. There are no options to configure, although the functionality of the tweak is just as solid as the iOS 7 version of the tweak.

If you want to give StopAlarm iOS 8 a try, it's available right now in Cydia's BigBoss repository. iOS 8 is required to install the tweak.

You already can turn off the alarm from the lock screen. All you need to do is swipe from left to right (like you want to get to the passcode screen) and the alarm will be turned off rather than snoozed.
