If you use your iPhone while exercising, then you may enjoy a new a new step counter tweak for the iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus called Stepper 2 (iOS 8) by iOS developer Timm Kandziora.

Stepper 2 is a step counter tweak and it requires the iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, or iPhone 6 Plus because it uses the motion co-processor that is included with these devices that is not included on older iPhones.

The tweak can keep track of your steps on both the Lock Screen and in the Status Bar, as shown above. The tweak also adds a preferences pane to the Settings application where you can configure various options, including but not limited to:

    • Keeping the step count in a bubble on the Lock Screen
    • Replacing the slide to unlock text on the Lock Screen with your step count
    • Hide or show the step count in the Status Bar
    • Customize a Status Bar step count and time separator
    • Receive a notification when you reach your daily step count goal
    • Set a time period for how long in the past that your step count should be fetched
    • Customize appearance, location, size, and style of the Lock Screen step counter bubble
    • And more

Stepper 2 (iOS 8), as the name implies, is only for iOS 8. There is another version of the tweak available in Cydia for iOS 7 just called "Stepper (iOS 7)." If you're interested in giving Stepper 2 (iOS 8) a try, it's available in Cydia's BigBoss repository right now for just $1.00.
