Apple’s iPhone 6 Plus was used recently to shoot an advertising campaign for luxury cosmetics brand Erno Laszlo. The video presents what New York City winter life is like through the lens of the larger 5.5-inch mobile device. Scenes captured in the campaign included New York City’s famous 5th Ave., the Christmas tree and ice skating rink at Rockefeller Center, the SoHo area, and Central Park. Even the flagship Apple Store on 5th Ave. made a small appearance in the video. According to advertising agency Truth NYC,

iPhone 6 Plus was instrumental in helping us achieve our creative vision for this project—and do it in a brilliantly fast and effective way. It opened up possibilities by allowing us to explore the life and energy of the holiday season in New York, in a truly mobile way.
A slow-motion grayscale vignette was used to record the holiday season in NYC. Since the camera was upgraded on the iPhone 6 Plus, it isn’t surprising that the device was used to shoot an advertisement. Automaker Bentley and luxury designer Burberry have both used Apple’s previous iPhone 5s to shoot something professional. It was used to shoot a short documentary for Bentley and a fashion runway show for Burberry. You can check out the advertisement for Erno Laszlo below and let us know what you think!
