One of the more popular jailbreak tweaks for the Photos application in iOS has been updated for iOS 8 on Monday. Photo Organizer 8 by iOS developer lordscotland, based off of the original Photo Organizer jailbreak tweak, is now available in Cydia for purchase.

The tweak gives users more control over the Photos application in iOS 8 to make it behave in ways that Apple has limited you from doing. For example, some of the features that the tweak can give you include the following:

    • Move items out of the Camera Roll without deleting them
    • Sort (by name/size/date) and reorder items in the Camera Roll and other albums
    • Import and sync albums and folders by copying photos directly to /var/mobile/Media/DCIM
    • Select ranges of photos by tapping with two fingers
    • Select and deselect all photos in an album with one tap
    • Reorder the album list and rename the Camera Roll

Photo Organizer 8 works with iOS 8.1 and later on all devices, but notably the developer doesn't list iOS 8.0.x in the compatibility, so you'll want to upgrade to iOS 8.1.x and jailbreak with TaiG if you have any plans to use this tweak on iOS 8.

Photo Organizer 8 is a $2.99 purchase in Cydia's BigBoss repository and is not a free upgrade from users of the original tweak.

I guess this feature "Move items out of the Camera Roll without deleting them" is already a feature in iOS8. Right?
