Apple seems to have forgotten that the banner notifications appear at the very tip-top of the display, even when you're in Reachability mode. This makes us wonder... how in the world are you supposed to reach the tip-top of the display with your thumb when you're using one hand to get to your banner notifications if you need Reachability to touch the top of the interface in the first, Apple?

A new free jailbreak tweak called BannerBuddy by iOS developer Josh Doctors is now available for free in Cydia that makes your incoming banner notifications move down with the rest of the iOS interface in Reachability, as shown above. This way, when you receive a banner notification, you can have it move down to a reachable portion of the display so that you can actually tap on it.

The idea here is to make one-handed notification access possible even on the larger displays of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, but it's worth noting that the tweak works flawlessly with other devices too that have the ReachAll jailbreak tweak installed on them. Since banners appear at the top of the display of a device, it really defeats the purpose of Reachability, which is what this jailbreak tweak fixes.

The tweak adds a preferences pane to the Settings application where you can enable or disable the tweak on demand:

If you're interested in giving BannerBuddy a try, it's available for free right now in Cydia's BigBoss repository. The tweak requires iOS 8, as well as a device with Reachability capability.

Seems to be compatible with "TinyBar".

With the tweak "ReachApp", the banner doesn't necessarily stay with the top of the page if you've dragged the page in ReachApp.
