If you've been wanting landscape mode in your Facebook application since the dawn of time like we have, then we've got a tweak for you. FlipBook, made by iOS developer Suhaib Alfaqeeh, has just become available in Cydia with the ability to unlock landscape mode in the Facebook application for iOS.

FlipBook works on profiles, in the news feed, and anywhere else in the Facebook application that you might be perusing.

The tweak is free from Cydia, although you will have to purchase a license from the tweak's preferences pane for $1.00, which is added to the Settings application:

From this preferences pane, you will also be able to enable or disable the tweak on demand with the "Activate" toggle switch.

One thing to note is that this landscape mode doesn't necessarily feel like native landscape mode just yet. iOS 8's native landscape mode completely does away with the Status Bar in place of more space for application content. FlipBook keeps the Status Bar on the top of the display even in Landscape mode, which does make the interface feel a bit cluttered, so this is something to keep in mind.

If you're interested in giving FlipBook a try, you can grab it from Cydia's BigBoss repository for free just keep in mind you have to pay $1.00 to get it working. The tweak requires the Facebook application for iOS, which is a free download from this App Store link if you don't already have it.

Either the developer has had a change of heart, or it's a trial.
