Google Maps is by far one of the easiest-to-use GPS solutions for iOS apart from the built-in GPS functionality that comes with the operating system, and Google continues to make the maps even better for iOS users as time goes by.

An update for the Google Maps application on the iOS platform on Thursday adds some helpful new features to aid the user in navigation and location discovery.

Users will now be able to see all nearby businesses when searching for a specific address, which makes it easy to know when there's a gas station or restaurant nearby. This makes planning for special trips a lot easier so you don't have to go searching for something after you've made it from point A to point B and need to start getting to point C.

Additionally, the update makes it so users can get quick facts on points of interest, see upcoming events and performances at the user's local venues, share reviews and earn a local guides badge, and even add transit directions to your Calendar for timely transit directions.

Google Maps has had some of its bugs fixed too, making this release (version 4.3.0) the most stable to date.

If you're already using Google Maps for iOS, then this update is available for you under the Updates tab in the App Store application; if automatic updates is enabled, then the update will be installed for you automatically. Alternatively, you can download the latest version of Google Maps for free from this App Store link.

Sounds good. I still like MotionX Gps for its easy-to-follow instructions while driving.
