Apple announced at Monday's 'Spring Forward' event that the company would release iOS 8.2 to the public today.

iOS 8.2 adds compatibility with Apple's new watch wearable, which was also shown off at the event. The new operating system update adds a new Apple Watch application to the Home Screen where you can control and configure your Apple Watch, and also adds a variety of other changes that have yet to be officially announced, but have been speculated on here.

iOS 8.2 will add additional support for health activity, especially today's ResearchKit, which allows users to help with medical research by being a part of the research right from their homes.

The update will drop OTA (over the air) as well as via iTunes when it's out, so stay tuned and we'll let you know when you can download it. Jailbreakers should stay away from the update as it cannot be jailbroken at this point in time. Those buying the Apple Watch will have no choice but to update if they want to use their Apple Watch with their iPhones.
