So I have an old 1G (I think) iPod that doesn't really work, and I'm wondering if there's anything fun I can do with it or use the hard drive somehow. It's already opened and everything, and it's probably fixable...

    Any ideas? Thanks!

Well, since I just saw this recently got bumped, I'll have you know that I gutted it and it now hides whatever small things I want it to...

And I have one that still works perfectly.

That what happens when you take care of your stuff.

^Yes. yesyesyesyes. Awesome post... Simply fantastic. Clap it up for this guy!

Oh, wait... Ever think I may have received it that way (for free) and didn't care to put the work in that may or may not fix it? Of course not, or your post might not have sucked so much.

Since we're on the topic, I take immaculate care of all my electronics and your assumption, as the saying goes, is making an *** out of you.

Well played sir and better luck next time.

    I am calm...?

And it's already gutted and hiding things as we speak, no reason nor desire to fix it, as I stated before.
