(I'm not 100% sure on where this goes, sorry if it's in the wrong place..)

Okay, so about a month ago, I jailbroke my iPod Touch (ios 6.0.1) and everything was going fine. Unfortunately, a few of the Cydia apps wouldn't work, because they didn't support ios 5.. somebody told me to just go into iFile and change the Firmware to ios 5.0.1. That made a few more things work, but I've now got a massive issue. A mate of mine accidentally turned off my iPod and now I am unable to boot it. I've tried doing it with both ios 6 and ios 5 firmware and it isn't working.

Is there anyway to fix this, or will I have to reboot my iPod and install Cydia again?

If I have to reboot it.. if I create a back-up now.. will Cydia still be deleted? I don't mind if it is.. just curious.

Restore with iTunes via DFU mode. Then jailbreak with corresponding software.
    Making my way through...
