    Hi everybody,

I was looking for a forum on modding an iPod and I found you guys.
I was wondering if maybe you had more insight into a problem I'm having.

I recently found an old iPod Video Gen5. As soon as I hooked it up it started clicking which I interpreted as the Harddisk being broken. So after a bit of googling I found out I could replace the old HDD with a new Flash card by using an adapter.

    I purchased the following items:
SanDisk Extreme CompactFlash UDMA7 64GB bis zu: Amazon.de: Computer & Zubehör
    https://www.iflash.xyz/store/iflash-cf/

I opened the iPod and put in everything and things seemed to work. When I hooked it up it told me it needed iTunes to restore the machine. So I installed iTunes and after 3 restores the iPod itself works. I can access the menu and it shows up properly in iTunes.
However, when I try to sync any music to it, it just doesn't work. iTunes either gets stuck attempting to copy a file or a error appears that the harddisk could be neither read nor written to. Strangely however, sometimes it manages to complete copying over a file. At one point I had 3 different songs on the iPod and they all worked.

So does any one have any clue as to what I did wrong?

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Regards,
