A friend of mine has an Ipod Touch....not sure which version/firmware. He has a ton of songs on it he would like to load on his PC. The original PC he had took a dump and he bought a new one. He would like to take the songs OFF the ipod touch and just save them to his PC as MP3 files.

    Is this even possible?

Or you could set your iPod to be used as a disk, tell windows to show hidden folders, and then browse into the iPod under "My Computer" and copy/paste the music into your PC.

Tell me it's not that easy? I tried everything and never even thought about going that route....actually, I didn't even know you could set it as a disk. If it's that easy, I'm going to stab myself in the face with a pitchfork.

Don't hurt yourself with that fork lol. I did it with my brothers iPod last week. Granted, it wasn't a touch, but it worked fine. I moved the music over to a folder on his desktop then "Selected All" and dropped them into his open iTunes. Hope it works with the touch too!

You can't do the same thing with an iPod touch. You have to use software like pod to PC to get them off. iPhone/iPod touches can't be set to use as disk anyway.
