Sorry, Mac users, but you're in danger too. This Trojan affects computers using Mac OS X 10.4 or 10.5, and lets the bad guys use your Apple Remote Desktop agent for a host of disturbing activities. The virus can be used to monitor your keystrokes, transmit passwords, turn on file sharing, take screenshots, and, creepiest of all, take pictures with the built-in iSight camera -- all unbeknownst to you! It's spread through downloads that you have to agree to, so if you stay sharp, avoid sketchy utilities, and keep your anti-virus protection current, you'll be fine.

just a quick glance through the member written news.

shouldn't we maybe have a "romour" section aswell? seeing as most of the member written news is nothing but rumours?

Well, it does seem as if it's just a matter of time, given the growing popularity of Macs. No system is foolproof.

A FRAUD security company releases a scare about something that doesn't exist and we're supposed to even give this the merit of a thread?

aye............... VIRUS is a windows term. VIRUS is an executable you cannot stop or control getting into your system by automatically inserting itself into your OS. THAT is impossible on a Mac and always will be. OSX does not allow executables, that is a WINDOWS ONLY action.

Is there a mac version of norton? Lol!!!
One1 is right about the EXE files but is there any way to make malicious files with a format and extension that mac could understand and "execute"?
Once I had to format and reinstall OS X in my MacBook because I downloaded a craked version of pinturesque, after that the screen went crazy every time I opened the app, and whe I put the mac to sleep by closing it I had to turn it off by pressing and holding power button otherwise the mac didn't respond at all and sometimes it even didn't turn on at all.
