I was reading elsewhere the 27in has user upgradable ram. The 21in does not though.

I like the revamp iMac since i don't use the DVD/CD optical Drive & the fact that it comes with a TB HD..where as when i bought mine in May of 2011 it came with a 500GB for $1200 & if i wanted a Larger HD it was MORE. Now that i can get a TB HD for the SAME AMOUNT!!! it's a No brainer & the Processor is Better with an iVy vs my Sandy Bridge. It comes with 2 thunderbolt connections vs One, so that's MORE then enough for me to sell my iMac & get the New one.

You must have bought 21in then. My 2010 27in came with 1tb as stock config. Which is coming close to running low on space.

Was just over on apple looking at the iMacs and I really like it. I don't use the disc drive in mine often at all. Think I only use it to install store bought games and most of those only need the disc in drive once and you copy over app.

Seriously? A $1,300+ machine nearly two feet across and they can't fit a 9.5mm thick optical drive?

It's not that they can't but dont want too. Think about it. Nearly all of us don't even use optical drives.
