Coming shortly after the release of iOS 7 beta 2, Apple recently seeded the second build of its next-generation OS X 10.9 Mavericks Developer Preview and the second beta of Xcode 5 to registered developers. According to people familiar with the new Mavericks seed, Apple has dubbed the build “13A497d,” which is a few iterations higher than the “13A476u” designation held by the first preview issued to developers during WWDC 2013.

The Cupertino California company notes that there are a few bugs within the release, including minor display issues that are associated with Safari and the iCloud Keychain. The forthcoming operating system still boasts a number of improvements and feature additions including Finder tabs, Maps, App Nap and Compressed Memory along with several others.

Both Apple’s OS X Mavericks 10.8 Developer Preview 2 and Xcode 5 are available to developers in the Mac App Store.

Not to be a pain, but it is 10.9.

I'm noticing issues with Microsoft Office 2011. Also, sometimes when you drag a window to another display, the window will go off the page and each time you try and grab it from the dock or mission control, it shows up then leaves the page. We'll see...

Is iBooks in this release? I sure hope so!

If you currently have Mavericks beta 1, just do a software update and it will install.
